Long Weekend

We didn't have tremendously exciting plans for the weekend--at least they wouldn't seem tremendously exciting to anyone else. It started off great with a trip to the Draper Temple Open House. It is so beautiful. I am always inspired by the architecture, design, and color use of each one. I am always inspired by the spirit and peace of each one. This time, I was inspired by my childrens' awe and excitement to be a part of this.

A few of the temple.

The rest of the weekend was spent in close proximity to these:

Although that may sound utterly boring to you, it is actually fantastically exciting to us. We sorted through, tossed away, cleaned up and boxed everything that was previously taking up space in the basement. This work and these boxes signal the beginning of finishing our basement. Our basement now looks like this:

I'll keep you updated on the progress!!

BEAUTIFUL pictures of the temple! I love the first one with the branches in the foreground. That is Deseret Book Frameable. I am so jealous that you got to go to the Open House. What a wonderful experience. And how wonderful to be able to go with so much family.

I am with you... it's very exciting to go through boxes and liberate yourself from "stuff." I need to have the same kind of weekend with our garage before we move in 4 months!

It has been liberating to get rid of some things that we have needed to be rid of for years. As much as I hate moving (and it ranks high on my list of things to never do again if possible), I appreciate the "cleaning out" it provides.

We're hoping to start on our basement, too. We have to pull permits and have inspections here in CO and we have to finish within a certain amount of time. We were wanting to do it little by little with Jason doing almost all of the work himself! We'll see what we can afford for now, though!
GOOD LUCK!!!
