My daughter turned 11 yesterday. The older she gets the older I feel. It is sometimes unreal to me that I have been a mom this long. Shouldn't I have it figured out by now? I also remember being this age and I DIDN'T think my parents were young. Both my parents were younger than I am now when I was 11. I promise I am not old. I promise I am not old. I promise I am not old. Now that she is 11, we have 1 more year till YWs, 5 more years until driving and dating, and 7 more years till she graduates and goes to college! I know the time is going to go lightening fast and and I am scared to death. Oh, and just one more thing, I PROMISE I AM NOT OLD!!!
P.S. Since June, she has been asking me for the following item for her birthday. Here is proof that she got it.

I can't believe she is 11! She is so pretty! You are not old!!
Alisun still seems like the little girl i used to know. Now she 11 and old!! I don't think she should be old enough to be in Young Womens in a year yet!!
Brooke--You were 4 when I got married and just barely 7 when Alisun was born. Frankly, you seem like the little girl i used to know. How did you get to be 18? That seems crazy to me and makes me feel old, too. I am not old, I promise!!
I love it now I know all I have to do is repeat the words " I am not old" and I will stay young!!! :) Happy Birthday Alisun you are so beautiful!!! I would be scared for sixteen if I were you too!!
Happy birthday, Alisun! I love her beautiful wavy hair. And no, Gayle you are not old!!
Ditto on the beautiful girl comments and love the hair, too! My girls wanted to watch our wedding video the other night and there's a shot of you guys with Alisun and she was SO little! (We've been married almost 10 years) I can't believe how fast it's gone!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Maybe you're not old, but I am! And the last picture on this posting proves it. I have never heard of Taylor Swift! I am very out of it, which proves that I am old.
